Guys, this is my little brother, Reese. He just turned eight last March, and he is in second grade. He had found that he prefers guys to girls. When he told his friends that at recess, they threw rocks at him. Rocks. He came home crying, saying that his friends had called him names like “faggot” and “homo”. Second graders called him these names. I explained to him that it is perfectly okay to be gay, and that I will still love him no matter what. Unfortunately, my parents don’t agree. He’s been set apart from the family and his friends for his sexuality, that he has no control over. I’m not doing this for notes or to gain followers. I’m doing this to show Reese he will be accepted by many people no matter what sexuality he is. Reblog if you support my eight year old brother, no matter his sexuality.

can we just talk about this for a minute

because seriously i have so much respect for the adventure time team. they’ve made a successful cartoon that isn’t random poop and fart jokes for a solid eleven minutes. sure, adventure time has its immature moments, but then there’s parts like this.

pb’s backed up against the wall in a position that’s way too common in today’s society. you can tell she’s scared and uncomfortable. so what does she do? she beats the shit out of ricardio.

she doesn’t “play nice”, she doesn’t “let him down gently”, she tears off his limbs and stomps on his face. then ricardio tries to play the nice guy card and she has none of it. it’s refreshing to see something aimed at children that doesn’t state that girls need to be polite and sweet and stand by while someone makes them uncomfortable.

basically, i love this show and i love how it teaches girls something that’ll actually come in handy some day. god fucking bless.

What I love most about this is that PB looks very non-threatening (read: like an easy target). She’s feminine, she’s pink, she enjoys looking pretty. It would have been so easy for the show to just damsel the fuck out of her, but AT avoids stereotypes every single time.

I love that PB’s a scientist and not making her a typical “bookish nerdy girl” was subverting another trope, but she could have easily ended up the token smart girl who tells Fin how to save her all the time. Except she’s not that either. Sure, he saves her sometimes—even from Ricardo once which makes this scene extra awesome—but that’s what friends are for.

Punching someone in the face might not be PB’s first reaction, but if her back is against the wall you better bet she’ll do it.

How can you tell when you are in a room, restroom, motel etc. with a mirror or a 2-way glass?

Here’s how: I thought it was quite interesting! And I know in about 30 seconds you’re going to do what I did and find the nearest mirror.

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can’t see them)? There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms . It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by looking at it.

So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at?

TWO WAY GLASS IMAGE MIRROR IMAGE

Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE! IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!

“No Space, Leave the Place” So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the “fingernail test.” It doesn’t cost you anything.

The little old lady who came to the coffee shop to hang this up was so lost, so hurt that it came off of her in waves. Most people who want a poster put up on a business let you do it, but the set of her shoulder, the hard line of her mouth told me that she needed to be the one to hang it up. She needed that little bit of assurance that she was doing everything she could.
